Free Spring Concerts Return to Civic Center Park
Enjoy Live Music Under the Stars Every Thursday in May
Coachella and Stagecoach are gone until next year, but music lovers can still enjoy live music under the stars throughout May thanks to the return of Palm Desert’s Spring Concerts in the Park.
Enjoy exciting performances while savoring delectable food truck fare at the Civic Center Park Amphitheater from 7:30 to 9 p.m. every Thursday in May, beginning May 4 with the music of the legendary rock band U2 performed by L.A.vation.
The band, which has performed on five continents, puts on a show that pairs memorable elements from past U2 concerts with impressive musical execution featuring crowd favorites such as “New Year’s Day,” “With or Without You,” “Beautiful Day,” and “One.”
Family YMCA of the Desert will once again be leading children’s games and activities before each of the four shows. Concertgoers are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy the evening. Alcoholic beverages and smoking are prohibited.
This year’s Spring Concerts, hosted by the City with additional sponsorship from the Desert Recreation District, offer a variety of talented acts designed to please music lovers of all ages and tastes including:
L.A.vation - U2 Tribute
Amanda Castro Band - Jazz Covers
Rose’s Pawn Shop - Alternative Country/Rock
Arise Roots - Reggae
